The 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs) are set to take place on Monday, May 26, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Nigerian artists Wizkid, Tems, Rema, and Asake, alongside South Africa’s Tyla, have been nominated in the Favourite Afrobeats Artist category. Tyla, a recent Grammy winner, is the only non-Nigerian act among the nominees.
The ceremony will be hosted by singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, who will also perform during the event. Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with ten nods, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.
