NDLEA Arrests Businesswoman, Auto Parts Dealer Over UK-Bound Hard Drugs

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested an Ibadan-based businesswoman, Mrs. Adewunmi Dorcas, and an auto parts dealer, Arinze Ora, for attempting to export opioids and cocaine to the UK and Congo Brazzaville.

The agency intercepted a cargo at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, containing 924 bottles of codeine-based syrup and 5,250 tablets of Rohypnol hidden in foodstuffs. Further investigation led to the arrest of Mrs. Adewunmi, who allegedly sent the consignment through her son.

Additionally, NDLEA operatives arrested Arinze Ora for attempting to export 300 grams of cocaine concealed in auto spare parts to Congo Brazzaville. Two brothers, Ikechukwu and Ugochukwu Ikeabba, were also arrested for sponsoring drug traffickers who export drugs by ingestion to Vietnam.
