Man Rescued from Attempted Suicide on Third Mainland Bridge

A 59-year-old Lagos resident, Yemi, attempted suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge due to overwhelming challenges. Fortunately, Rapid Response Squad operatives intervened and rescued him. Yemi was taken into protective custody pending his family’s arrival.

This incident follows a previous attempted suicide rescue on the same bridge involving an American citizen in July. If you’d like more information on mental health resources or support services, consider searching online for local organizations that can provide assistance.
