Ogun Dry Port to Boost Economic Growth and Job Creation

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Gateway Inland Dry Port in Kajola, Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State. The port, expected to be completed to international standards, will facilitate the movement of goods across Nigeria, creating over 5,000 direct jobs and 15,000 indirect jobs ¹.

According to Oyetola, the project aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on innovation, economic growth, and infrastructural development. The port will attract investments, stimulate local businesses, and make Ogun State a more attractive destination for businesses and investors.

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, emphasized that the port will increase the state’s ranking on the ease of doing business index and solidify its position as the foremost logistics and industrial hub in the country.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Gbenga Dairo, noted that the groundbreaking ceremony demonstrates the administration’s commitment to growing the economy and spreading development throughout the state.
