Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is mourning the loss of renowned educationist and Asiwaju of Osogboland, Ajadi Badmus, who passed away at 83. Badmus died in the early hours of Sunday in Osogbo, the state capital.
Governor Adeleke described Badmus’ death as an unfortunate development, especially since Osogbo is currently experiencing rapid growth aligned with Badmus’ vision. He condoled with the Ataoja of Osogbo and the community, praising Badmus as a passionate advocate for development and growth.
Adeleke highlighted Badmus’ tireless efforts in promoting industrial and social development in the state. During Adeleke’s tenure, Badmus consistently encouraged growth initiatives and ensured the kickoff of several federal and state projects.
The governor regretted that Badmus didn’t live to see the commissioning of Osogbo’s ultra-modern flyovers, which they had planned together. Adeleke promised to complete ongoing projects in Osogbo and pursue federal projects in the capital, ensuring Badmus’ dreams are realized.
Adeleke extended his condolences to the Badmus family and the royal father of Osogbo Land, honoring Badmus’ lasting legacy of selfless service and community advocacy.
