Apology Statement

“I admit that I made false allegations against you and also regret my actions and the damage I caused… I humbly ask for your forgiveness, recognising that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain, and distress I caused.”
Background
The controversy began in 2022 when Abubakar alleged a romantic relationship with Apostle Suleman, prompting threats of legal action. The situation escalated in 2023 with claims of pregnancy. However, a federal high court in Abuja ruled in favor of Apostle Suleman, ordering Abubakar to pay N10 million in damages for defamation.
About the Apology
Abubakar attributed her actions to poor judgment, stating that her apology was motivated by “deep reflection and conscience.” She recognized Apostle Suleman’s humanitarian work and sought forgiveness, acknowledging the harm caused by her allegations.
“I ask you to find a place in your heart to forgive me, as I was not thinking clearly at that time. Sir, you have done a lot for humanity; please extend your hands of forgiveness to me.”
