A devastating fire broke out at Ajah Market in Lekki, Lagos State, on Sunday, November 3, destroying goods worth millions of Naira. The blaze started around 9 pm and ravaged several shops containing combustible materials.
Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, confirmed that emergency services responded swiftly to contain the fire, but the cause remains unknown.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported since the market was closed on Sunday. LASEMA and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services successfully prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings.
