President Bola Tinubu, alongside governors of Lagos and Ogun states, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dapo Abiodun, celebrated Pastor Tunde Bakare’s 70th birthday at The Citadel Global Community Church in Lagos. Tinubu described Bakare as a “true man of God” and a “beacon of hope” for the voiceless. UHe highlighted Bakare’s significant contributions to Nigerian society as a distinguished lawyer, pastor, leader, author, advocate for good governance, and politician.

Sanwo-Olu praised Bakare as a mentor and father figure, noting that government officials listen to his guidance. “Pastor Tunde Bakare, you are not just a father for all of us. You are a mentor… We all listen to you when you walk on this pulpit,” he said.

The celebration honored Bakare’s profound impact as a religious leader and advocate for a better Nigeria. His bold efforts in leading civil demonstrations during critical periods in Nigeria’s history have earned him recognition.
