Nigeria’s national football team will be led by caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen as they face off against Benin in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match on Wednesday.
This comes after German coach Bruno Labbadia withdrew from the position due to a dispute with the Nigeria Football Federation over his tax bill. Eguavoen, a late replacement, will guide the team as they seek revenge against their neighbors.
