Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, former Health Minister and immediate past President of the Nigeria Academy of Pharmacy, has made a passionate call for Nigeria to re-industrialise and attain self-sufficiency in drug production. He emphasized that pharmacists have the expertise to make a difference and must take the lead in reviving the industry.
Adelusi-Adeluyi noted that many nations control African countries because they hold economic power, and praised the book “The Pharmaceutical Industry and Drug Production in Nigeria” for offering a clear plan to boost local drug production. He cautioned that Nigeria must re-enter the industrialisation circuit to regain its position as a global economic powerhouse.
