Governor Okpebholo Appoints Dr. Anthonia Njoku as New CMD for Edo Specialist Hospital

  • Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has appointed Dr. Anthonia Njoku as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the state Specialist Hospital.
  • The appointment takes effect from December 4.
  • Dr. Njoku possesses a strong educational background, having attended the College of Medical Sciences, University of Maiduguri.
  • Prior to her appointment, Dr. Njoku served as a Senior Lecturer and Honourary Consultant.

Governor Okpebholo’s administration announced the appointment through a statement issued by the Secretary to the Edo Government, Musa Ikhilor. According to the statement, Dr. Njoku’s appointment is a testament to her exceptional qualifications and experience in the medical field.

Dr. Njoku’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) degree, as well as a Master of Science degree in Reproductive Health. She also obtained a Diploma in Bioethics and Certificate in Principles and Practice of Clinical Research from Harvard T.H.
