Inter Milan took a significant step towards catching up with Serie A leaders Napoli, defeating Parma 3-1 at the San Siro. The win moves Inter to within a point of Napoli, who host Lazio on Sunday night.
Federico Dimarco and Nicolo Barella scored brilliant goals either side of halftime, while Marcus Thuram added a third with a neat volley in the 67th minute. Parma netted a late consolation goal through a Matteo Darmian own goal.
Inter’s unbeaten run now stretches to 14 matches in all competitions, and they will look to continue this form when they travel to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday. A win in that match would almost certainly ensure direct qualification to the last 16.
