- The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) views Ghana’s opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) victory as a sign of the end of All Progressives Congress (APC) rule in Nigeria in 2027.
- PDP congratulated Ghanaians for defending democracy, leading to President John Mahama’s return to power.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has hailed the victory of Ghana’s opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Mahama, in the December 7, 2024 Presidential Election as a triumph of the people’s will over oppression. This win is seen as a clear indication that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria will soon face defeat in the 2027 general election.
According to Hon. Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, the NDC’s victory demonstrates the power of the people over misrule and oppressive government policies, similar to those witnessed in Nigeria under the APC.
The PDP criticized the APC’s governance, citing widespread hardship, economic instability, and corruption.
The PDP urges the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and prevent manipulation of future elections. Ologunagba called on Nigerians to remain firm in their determination to end APC’s rule and restore good governance under the PDP in 2027.
