The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has expressed its condolences to the Borno State Government and the management of Borno State University over the death of two students in a recent road accident. The accident, which occurred on December 12, 2024, also injured many students.
In a condolence message, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, described the development as a sad one. He stated that NELFUND would offer its assistance in any way possible to help the community heal and recover from the tragic event.
NELFUND’s message read: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased, the injured students, and the entire university community during this difficult time. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Borno State Government and the university’s administration.”
