My Covenant with God is to Ensure Nwifuru Completes 8 Years in Office – Umahi

Senator David Umahi, Minister of Works, has pledged to support his successor, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, in completing his eight-year term in office.

Senator David Umahi made this commitment during a Christmas homage visit from Nwifuru’s clan members, the Izzi National Youths Forum, at his hometown in Uburu, Ohaoazara Local Government Area of Ebonyi. Umahi expressed his surprise at the visit and emphasized that Nwifuru would serve two terms in office, just like he and other former governors of the state did.

Umahi reiterated his stance that the Izzi clan is the state’s best governance option and that he has no regrets about his decision. He commended the leadership of the Izzi National Youths Forum for their dexterity and expressed gratitude for their visit. The National President of the forum, Mr. Andrew Elom, thanked Umahi for fulfilling his promise to hand over the governorship seat to an Izzi indigene and pleaded with him to continue guiding Nwifuru on the right path.
