Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has set his sights on winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. Chelle, who was appointed as the team’s head coach on January 7, expressed his confidence in the squad’s ability to lift the trophy.
Speaking after the AFCON 2025 draw, where Nigeria was placed in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania, Chelle stated that the team is “out for revenge” after their 2023 AFCON final loss to Ivory Coast.
Chelle, who previously led Mali to the quarter-finals of the last AFCON, believes that his team has the capability to win the title. The 2025 AFCON is scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, across six Moroccan cities.
