    Kidnappers of Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Philip Ekeli, and seminarian, Peter Andrew, are demanding N200 million, release of 2 gang members, and a gun in exchange for their victims’ freedom. The kidnapping occurred on Monday night at St Peter Catholic Church in Etsako East, Edo State. A rescue effort by vigilantes and security agencies resulted in the death of one gang member and the escape of another, who may have died from gunshot injuries.

    A ransom demand has been made for the release of a kidnapped Catholic priest. According to an anonymous source, the kidnappers are asking for N200 million, a gun, and the release of two of their gang members. The source claims that one of the gang members was killed during the kidnapping, and another escaped with injuries.

    However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu, says he is not aware of this development. He notes that in situations like this, there are often false rumors and misinformation.
