The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State has taken a significant step towards unity, as factions within the party have agreed to put aside their differences and work together to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
A reconciliation meeting, held at the residence of Alhaji Muritala Ashorobi, brought together prominent PDP members, including Chief Olabode George, Dr. Abimbola Ogunkelu, and Mrs. Aduke Maina. The meeting resolved that the status quo in the party remains, and all members must unite to achieve their goal.
The communique issued after the meeting emphasized the need for party members to mobilize Lagosians across the 20 local government areas to wrest power from the APC in 2027. It also warned members working underground for the APC to stop or leave the PDP immediately, and stated that anti-party activities will no longer be tolerated.
