Dan Orbih, a veteran leader of the PDP in Edo State, has come out in defense of Nyesom Wike’s decision to serve as FCT Minister in President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Orbih asserts that Wike is working for Nigeria, not the APC, and that his appointment was not opposed by the PDP leadership.
According to Orbih, Wike wrote to the acting national party chairman and other critical organs of the party, informing them of his intention to accept the appointment. Orbih claims that there is no record of the PDP leadership objecting to Wike’s decision.
Orbih also touches on the state of the PDP, describing the party as facing numerous internal challenges. He criticizes the leadership for not addressing pressing issues, such as the crisis in Rivers State, and instead “chasing shadows.”
