Abia State Shifts School resumption to September 23

the state government has granted a 90-day moratorium for property owners

The Abia State Government has postponed the resumption date for public and private schools in the state to September 23, due to a coinciding Muslim holiday. The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, made the announcement during a press briefing, also revealing that a second batch of teacher training would commence on September 11.

Additionally, the state government has granted a 90-day moratorium for property owners in Aba to register their properties at the old rate, as a result of the governor’s magnanimity and compassionate disposition towards governance.

Other announcements included Abia State’s selection to participate in an international medical symposium in Ghana, the installation of 4,346 solar lights across 86 locations in the state, and the progress of the Abia Electricity Bill, which has scaled through second reading at the State House of Assembly.
