Hummels rose through Bayern Munich’s youth ranks, making his debut at 18. He then moved to Borussia Dortmund, becoming a core player under Jurgen Klopp and winning two league titles. His impressive performance in the 2014 World Cup final, where Germany defeated Argentina 1-0, cemented his status as a world-class defender.
Hummels returned to Bayern Munich, pursuing a Champions League title, but ultimately fell short. He later rejoined Dortmund in 2019. Throughout his career, Hummels played 508 matches for Dortmund and 118 for Bayern, earning 78 caps for Germany.
