A 16-year-old secondary school student in Lagos allegedly ran mad after confessing to being sexually molested by a popular hotelier. The student claimed the hotelier lured him and four friends to his hotel, sodomized them, and warned them not to disclose the incident or they would die.
The student’s parents took him to a prayer house and later to the police station, where he made a statement. However, after disclosing the names of his fellow students involved, he relapsed and began behaving like a mad person again.
The police arrested one of the students mentioned, who corroborated the victim’s story, stating they were lured to the hotel for a TikTok program but were instead sodomized. The hotelier allegedly paid them N5,000 each and threatened them not to disclose the incident.
The victim’s father reported the incident to the police, who initially failed to arrest the hotelier. However, after the father reported the case to the AIG at Zone 2, the police arrested the hotelier for questioning. The case is still under investigation.
