    A multiple-vehicle crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has caused a massive gridlock, leaving many motorists stranded. The accident, which occurred on Kara Bridge, outward Lagos, involved seven vehicles, including trucks and cars .

    Unfortunately, one person was killed in the crash, and four others were injured. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reported that the accident was caused by overspeeding, which led to a loss of control .

    The crash has severely disrupted traffic flow, with vehicles backed up as far as the Seven-Up area. Emergency responders, including FRSC officials, police officers, and personnel from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), are working to clear the obstruction and restore traffic flow .

    Motorists are advised to explore alternative routes or postpone their trips until the situation is fully resolved. The FRSC commander has assured that recovery operations are underway, with professionals and necessary equipment being mobilized to ease the traffic congestion .
