Abia State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping, announcing the killing of six kidnappers at Osisioma during an exchange of fire with operatives of its tactical team. This incident occurred on Friday, according to Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, who disclosed this information during a press conference at the Government House Umuahia on Saturday evening .
Governor Alex Otti, who was present at the press conference, reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Abia State, vowing that no inch of Abia soil would be ceded to kidnappers or any other criminal elements.
This development comes amidst rising concerns about kidnapping in Abia State. Just last year, three brothers, Gideon, Divine, and Israel Osinachi, were kidnapped in Amaoba Ikwuano, highlighting the need for increased security measures in the state .
