Abuja – The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced its intention to sanction Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for alleged anti-party activities. This decision comes after Soludo’s refusal to recognize Chief Edozie Njoku as the party’s National Chairman, despite judgments from the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal affirming Njoku’s position.
According to Chief Dr. Chekwas Okorie, Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Soludo’s actions have consistently undermined APGA’s interests and values. Okorie stated that the party’s disciplinary machinery will be activated against those found guilty of anti-party activities.
Despite repeated attempts to reconcile with Soludo, the party leadership has been met with resistance. Okorie emphasized that APGA will not be destroyed by individual actions, citing the party’s resilience and commitment to its progressive ideology.
The BoT chairman urged the National Working Committee (NWC) to promptly activate the party’s disciplinary measures, including sanctions against Soludo, to maintain the supremacy of the political party in party democracies.
