The Ondo State governorship election has sparked controversy, with the PDP rejecting the results and alleging electoral fraud. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the APC was declared the winner, securing 366,781 votes and sweeping all 18 Local Government Areas.

The PDP, through its National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, described the election as a sham, accusing the APC of engaging in vote-buying and intimidation. However, INEC’s Rotimi Oyekanmi defended the commission’s conduct, stating that the election was one of the best ever conducted.

President Bola Tinubu has urged dissatisfied candidates to seek redress in court, commending the peaceful conduct of the process. The APC’s National Publicity Director, Bala Ibrahim, dismissed the PDP’s claims as baseless and habitual.
