Anambra Lawmaker Hon. Azuka Kidnapped on His Way Home

Hon. Justice Azuka, a chieftain of the Labour Party and member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, was kidnapped on Tuesday night while returning home. The abduction occurred at Ugwunaobankpa road, Inland Town Onitsha, and the lawmaker’s whereabouts remain unknown.

According to eyewitnesses, the abduction happened quickly, with the gunmen doubling crossing Azuka at gunpoint and whisking him away in under five minutes. Residents have expressed shock over the abduction, describing Azuka as a peaceful and quiet person who hardly makes trouble.

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident and is working to rescue the abducted lawmaker. Spokesman Tochukwu Ikenga stated that the command has activated operational plans for the possible rescue and arrest of the kidnappers.
