APC Leader Calls for Support for Persons with Disabilities Amid Economic Hardship

Tolu Bankole, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee, has expressed concern about the impact of Nigeria’s economic hardship on Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

In a statement marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, Bankole acknowledged the struggles PWDs face due to inflation and rising living costs. He emphasized the need for inclusivity in governance, ensuring PWDs’ full participation in various sectors.

Despite the challenges, Bankole remains optimistic about President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, which he believes will stabilize the economy and create a prosperous future.

“As we celebrate our nation’s independence, let us spare a thought for the plight of our physically challenged and vulnerable citizens,” Bankole said. “We must build a nation where no Nigerian is left behind, irrespective of their physical or mental abilities.”
