Arewa Leader Denounces Attack on Chief Edwin Clark

Alhaji Musa Saidu, leader of the Arewa Initiative for Peaceful Co-existence in southern Nigeria, has condemned a statement by a group claiming to be Arewa youths, alleging that Chief Edwin Clark is fueling the crisis in Rivers state. Saidu described the group as faceless and non-existent, sponsored by politicians to drag Clark’s name into the crisis.

Saidu praised Clark as a respected nationalist who fought for the establishment of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) alongside Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye. He emphasized Clark’s reputation for standing by the truth and his contributions to national unity.

The Arewa leader challenged the faceless group to reveal their identities, stating that they do not represent any legitimate organization. He reaffirmed his condemnation of the attack on Chief Clark, a revered elder statesman.
