The incident occurred last Thursday on Kente Road in the Wukari Local Government Area, where Atsi and the governor’s mother, Jumai Kefas, were traveling.
In the chaos of the attack, a police officer inadvertently shot Atsi while trying to fend off the attackers. Despite being rushed to a hospital in Abuja for urgent medical care, Atsi succumbed to her injuries.
