In a move to enhance its backing for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria, Dangote Cement PLC’s Obajana Plant has transferred a 33 KV public electricity power line and transformer to Jakura Marble Industry Ltd (JMIL) in Kogi State.
During the handover event, Azad Nawabuddin, Plant Director at Dangote Cement PLC, shared that the initiative involved extending high-tension power lines from the Oyo community to JMIL’s facility over a distance of 5 km.

Additionally, the enhanced setup opens doors for future growth, job opportunities, and the deployment of more machinery and equipment at JMIL.

This commitment underscores the mutual benefits of strong partnerships and demonstrates the company’s willingness to engage in initiatives that bring value to both parties and positively impact the community.
