IBF world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois has expressed his willingness to face either Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk in his next bout, with the deciding factor being the higher payday.
Following his fifth-round knockout victory over Joshua at Wembley Stadium, Dubois retained his title and sparked speculation about potential rematches. Joshua has hinted at continuing his boxing career, while Dubois’s promoter, Frank Warren, remains open to another Joshua-Dubois encounter if the terms are favorable.
Meanwhile, Usyk is set to face Tyson Fury in a rematch on December 21 for the WBA, WBO, and WBC belts. Dubois previously faced Usyk in August 2023, suffering a loss but notably sending the Ukrainian to the canvas in the fifth round.
In a recent interview with talkSPORT radio, Dubois emphasized financial considerations in choosing his next opponent: “I would love a rematch, but either one really – whoever pays me the most.”
Regarding a potential Joshua rematch, Dubois stated, “If that happens next, then yeah, I want to go for it. I want to do it even better next time.” He also acknowledged areas for improvement, aiming to be “more clinical, more sharp” in his next bout.
