‘Don’t kill yourself, ask God for forgiveness,’ Portable tells Bobrisky

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has publicly called on crossdresser Bobrisky to reconsider her lifestyle and “repent from sinful ways.”

Portable’s remarks come in the wake of a series of legal and personal troubles facing Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye.

Bobrisky’s recent experiences have been quite challenging. Being released from prison on August 5 after serving part of a six-month sentence for naira abuse is certainly a difficult ordeal.

Bobrisky’s current ordeal started when social media influencer Martin Otse, also known as ‘VeryDarkMan’, shared an audio recording online where Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have bribed EFCC officials with ₦15 million to drop charges against her. However, Bobrisky denied these accusations, calling the audio recording “fake” and stating that she served her prison term .

The bribery allegations led to the EFCC summoning both Bobrisky and Otse for questioning, with EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede ordering an investigation into the claims. Things took a turn when rapper Falz corroborated part of Otse’s claims in a warning letter, revealing that Bobrisky asked him for ₦3 million to pay officials for a VIP prison section, which Falz declined.

Bobrisky’s request for understanding and support is completely reasonable, given the challenging circumstances she’s facing.

Reacting to recent developments via Instagram, Portable offered advice to crossdresser Bobrisky, urging her not to consider suicide but instead to repent from her “sinful ways.”

In his message, Portable encouraged the self-proclaimed transgender celebrity to seek forgiveness from God and embrace a path of redemption.

“Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Damn it to any sinner that does not repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die,” he said.

“Help me tell Bobrisky to ask God for forgiveness. All Bobrisky needs is to ask God for forgiveness of sin. What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world. But if he does not repent.”
