Edo Gov Appoints Commissioner for Finance, Five Others

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has made six key appointments to his administration, effective November 15, 2024. These appointments demonstrate his commitment to selecting experienced professionals to drive the state’s development agenda.

New Appointees:

  • Dr. Emmanuel Iyamu: Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), with a background in academia and business, including a Doctor of Science in Petroleum Resources from European American University.
  • Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi: Managing Director, State Waste Management Board, with expertise in leadership and human resource management, and a Master’s in Strategic Leadership and Governance from University of Cape Coast.
  • CP Friday Ibadin (retd.): Corps Commander, Edo State Security Corps Governance, with a distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force and international experience with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo.
  • Stainless Ijeghede: Managing Director, Edo State Traffic Management Agency, with a successful career in the Petroleum Industry, particularly in Well Engineering and Safety at Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Ltd.
  • Lucky Eseigbe: Managing Director, Edo State Public Building and Maintenance Agency, with experience as a Legislative Aide/Legal Adviser/Consultant to notable National Assembly members.
  • Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor: Commissioner for Finance-designate, with over 25 years of experience in the Banking Sector, including roles at Standard Trust and United Bank of Africa (UBA).

These appointments aim to bring expertise and leadership to various sectors in Edo State, driving progress and development.
