    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied reports claiming it discovered a massive stash of cash and drugs at the residence of Bello El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. The alleged discovery included $800 million, ₦700 billion in cash, and ₦1 trillion worth of drugs .

    The EFCC described the claims as baseless and false, stating that it did not carry out any operation at Bello’s residence in Kaduna State. The commission urged the public to ignore the reports, emphasizing that they are a false narrative of the EFCC’s activities .

    It’s worth noting that fact-checking organization PRNigeria also debunked the claims, finding no evidence to support the allegations .
