Enyimba FC, the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) giants, has announced the dismissal of its head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju. The club made the announcement on Saturday, thanking the 32-year-old coach for his services and wishing him success in his future endeavors.

Olanrewaju’s departure comes after a challenging period for the club, with Enyimba on a nine-match winless streak across all competitions. This includes six consecutive league draws and a poor run in the CAF Confederations Cup, where they sit at the bottom of Group D with just one point from three matches.

The coach’s dismissal came 48 hours after a disappointing draw against Plateau United in the NPFL. Enyimba, the league’s most successful club, currently sits in 11th position on the table with 23 points from 15 matches. During his tenure, Olanrewaju managed 26 matches, securing nine wins and seven losses.
