A gruesome triple homicide has shaken the Yovoyan community in Badagry, Lagos, with an ex-police officer standing accused of the heinous crime. The alleged motive behind the killings is a long-standing land dispute between the ex-officer and his brothers.

The victims of the triple homicide have been identified as Mr. Richard Atideka, Mrs. Latevi Atideka, and Mr. Muji Onilude, a resident of the neighboring Gberefu community. The Atidekas were family members of the accused ex-police officer.

David Atideka, a survivor of the attack and brother of the accused, shared a chilling account of the events that unfolded. According to David, the incident occurred between 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., when two armed men entered the Atideka compound. David claimed to have recognized one of the attackers as his brother, the ex-police officer.

Henry Atideka, the son of the accused ex-police officer, has denied the allegations, attributing the attack to unknown gunmen. The police have launched an investigation into the killings and have taken the corpses to the General Hospital in Badagry for autopsy.

The community remains in shock as the investigation unfolds, seeking justice for the victims and their families.
