- A total of 4,974 land titles were revoked, affecting various government institutions, private organizations, and individuals.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Director of Lands, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, has provided clarity on the recent revocation of land titles, stating that only one property owned by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was affected. This contradicts the PDP’s claims that two of its properties were targeted.
Among the affected owners of the revoked 4,794 land titles are prominent government institutions, including:
- Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
- Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
- Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC)
- Borno State Government
- Nigerian Television Authority (NTA)
- Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)
- National Universities Commission (NUC)
- Kaduna State Government
Private organizations and individuals are also affected by the revocation.
