The Federal Government has declared Monday, September 16, 2024, as a public holiday to commemorate the Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the federal government, congratulating the Muslim Ummah on the occasion. He encouraged Muslims and all Nigerians to use the opportunity to pray for lasting peace and a more prosperous nation, and to embody the values of patience, sacrifice, and resilience.
