Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman
The Federal Government plans to create guidelines for exceptionally intelligent students who don’t meet the 18-year age limit for university admissions. Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, clarified that the age limit doesn’t apply to students taking WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or ordinary-level exams.
Mamman emphasized the need for clear guidelines during the 68th National Council on Education meeting in Abuja. The Ministry aims to support gifted students while adhering to national education policies.
