The Federal Government has praised the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) for its regulatory functions and contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth. Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Zaphaniah Jisalo, commended the NLRC at the 2024 stakeholders meeting in Lagos, stating that the Commission is “doing very well” and will continue to receive support from the ministry.
The Director-General of NLRC, Lanre Gbajabiamila, emphasized the importance of responsible gaming in safeguarding citizens’ interests and contributing to Nigeria’s socioeconomic goals. He noted that collaboration is key to achieving a balance between growth and social responsibility.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, Toyin Adeyanju, advised operators to make accurate remittances to the fund to support its projects nationwide.
