The Federal Government’s appeal is part of its efforts to promote economic diversification and industrialization under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Amb. Odumegwu-Ojukwu emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with China, highlighting the growing interest among Nigerian youths in learning the Chinese language.
In response, Ambassador Dunhai noted that China sees Nigeria as a great nation and a key player on the global stage, and expressed support for Nigeria’s inclusion in the G-20. He also highlighted the recently renewed $2 billion currency swap agreement, which is expected to further boost trade and investment between the two countries.
