Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, is commemorating International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 by honoring women worldwide for their resilience, hard work, and achievements. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the theme for this year’s IWD is actually “Accelerate Action” , but Sen. Tinubu’s message aligns with the spirit of the day, emphasizing the importance of women supporting each other to build a society free from discrimination and limitations.

In her message, Mrs. Tinubu encourages women to “lift each other up, one woman at a time.” This sentiment is echoed in the global celebration of IWD, which aims to accelerate action for gender equality and empower women everywhere .
