A tragic road accident occurred on the old Oyo/Ogbomoso road on Friday night, resulting in the loss of five lives and leaving three others injured. Mary Alo, Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, confirmed the incident.
The accident involved two vehicles carrying 11 passengers. The injured are receiving treatment at Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited in the hospital’s mortuary.
A head-on collision between a white commercial truck and a commercial ash-colored space bus with registration number LRN 185 YR caused the accident. The truck had no company details or registration number.
