Tragedy struck in Lagos State on Sunday, October 13, 2024, when a fire ravaged a lounge and bar along Baale Road in the Olodi Apapa area, claiming the lives of four workers who were burnt beyond recognition . The devastating incident occurred at around 7:45 am, with a distress call received by the police station at 7:50 am.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, a team of policemen and firefighters swiftly responded to the scene and eventually put out the fire, which had engulfed the entire building . Unfortunately, the four staff members of the lounge and bar lost their lives in the blaze, and their corpses were evacuated to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) morgue in Yaba.
