A disturbing incident occurred on Friday night in Anambra State, Nigeria, where four persons were abducted by gunmen at the border between Nsugbe and Nkwele in Oyi local government area. The victims, identified as Mr. Dona Ayakalor and three of his friends, were shot in the legs and taken to a hideout, where they begged for ransom in a video circulating online.
Unfortunately, the spokesperson of Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, couldn’t be reached for comment as his mobile phone was switched off. However, it’s worth noting that SP Ikenga is a relatively new appointee, having taken office as the Police Public Relations Officer for Anambra State Command in March 2025 .
