Billionaire heiress and disc jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has opened up about her privileged background, admitting that she was initially unaware of her family’s immense wealth.

In a heartfelt post on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, Cuppy shared how her upbringing shielded her from financial concerns, making luxury feel like the norm.

She acknowledged her evolving perspective, stating that she now fully recognizes and appreciates the privilege she once took for granted.

“Growing up, I didn’t fully realize just how privileged I was. I never had to worry about anything, tbh. Thank God I see it now. What felt normal to me is something someone else is praying for. Gratitude changes everything,” she wrote.

Despite her wealthy background, DJ Cuppy has carved out a successful career in entertainment. In 2022, she earned a master’s degree from Oxford University, calling it one of her proudest achievements.

In 2024, she made history as the first British-Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly, where she spoke on youth leadership and sustainable development.
