According to the Forum, Umahi hasn’t achieved enough as Minister of Works to deserve the honor, especially when compared to others like Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo State, and Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. They question how Ohanaeze Ndigbo could choose Umahi despite his poor performance in maintaining federal roads, which was heavily criticized by the House of Representatives committee on FERMA .
