In a stunning revelation, Kenyan Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has come forward with claims of surviving multiple assassination attempts, hinting at President William Ruto’s involvement . Speaking to the media outside a hospital in Karen, Gachagua detailed two instances of alleged poisoning attempts in Kisumu and Nyeri.

Alleged Assassination Attempts

Gachagua recounted:

  • August 30, Kisumu: Undercover security agents entered his room, bugged it, and attempted to poison his food.
  • September 3, Nyeri: National Intelligence Service agents tried to poison food meant for him and the Kikuyu Council of Elders.

Impeachment and Aftermath

Gachagua’s impeachment by Parliament, endorsed by the Senate, has been stayed by the High Court. Despite this, President Ruto withdrew Gachagua’s security detail, leaving him feeling exposed.

Public Plea for Safety

Gachagua emotionally appealed to Ruto:
“So I ask president William Ruto, my brother, I helped you to be president, leave me alone. Leave my children alone… You have caused me enough pain for the last one year, please leave me alone. Let me be.”

Call for Accountability

Gachagua emphasized that if anything happens to him or his family, President Ruto should be held accountable.
