However, when the officers checked his phone and saw money in his Binance and Trust Wallet apps, they demanded more. The victim was eventually forced to withdraw and hand over ₦150,000 in cash before they were allowed to leave after two hours .
The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the detention of the officers and stated that the money has been recovered. The Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, has ordered the immediate transfer of the officers to the Provost Office for disciplinary action .
